    Ontem saiu uma release sobre o problema em quem utiliza MS-SQL em portugues. Na build 7504 não era possivel fazer o upgrade por que esta gerando erro mas agora não mais. A build 7505 corrigi esse problema, segue abaixo a Release Notes.

  • Support Center atualizado – Versão 7.5 Build 7504

    Após ter mudado de versão da 7 para a versão 7.5 build 7503 foi detectado vários problemas na atualização. Mas por falta de tempo coloquei essa atualização e agora que consegui separar um tempo, esses problemas foram corrigidos no hotfix 7504. Eu não testei ainda, mas os indianos falaram que esse hotfix resolve os problemas da atualização.

    Foi fazer um post falando sobre o Support Center e suas NOVAS funcionalidades, que estão show de bola. E no ROADMAP tem coisa ainda pra sair….

  • ServiceDesk Plus – Atualização 7509

    Essa atualização saiu para corrigir alguns problemas. Segue abaixo Release notes da versão 7.5 Build 7509.

     Issues Fixed in 7509 (Released on :17-July-2009)

    1. SD-15434,SD-20979 – NullPointer Exception upon performing request bulk edit, if no site is configured in the system.
    2. SD-20971 – PreventiveMaintanence tasks are not generated when scheduled but created when manually run. Upon enabling the Notification for the new PM task creation, there is a notification mail saying PM task is generated but clicking on the link would say “Request does not fall under your scope. Hence you are not authorized to view the same”. as the Scheduled Request is not getting added.
    3. SD-14937,SD-14934 – Searching the asset / workstation is slow and takes more time and lead to 100% CPU usage.
    4. SD-21095 – After upgrade to 7507, few requester are unable to see one or more fields when creating new request through new request creation form.
    5. SD-13827 – Upon performing the Active Directory (AD)  import, latest selection of the Organizational Units (OU) will not be retained.
    6. SD-15530 – If Organizational Units (OU) name contains square bracket,Organizational Units get deselected even after importing users from that Organizational Units in mssql.
    7. SD-15517 – Incorrect error message is shown while saving the mail server details for POPS, IMAPS, if there is no trusted / self-signed certificate is applied. Now the failure error message is changed to provide a  meaningful message.
    8. SD-15307, SD-20688 – Formatting of request description / resolution and solution (e.g. Bold/Italic/Underline /background colour) is not being saved.
    9. SD-14854 – Problem in scanning the VMWare’s virtual machines, it will overwrite the scanned information with the last scanned machine information because the MAC Address of the secondary and/or the tertiary NICs are the same for all servers in the VMWare box, though the primary NICs are different. Based on a configuration entry added into the Globalconfig table, it will add the scan information even through it shares the same MAC address.
    10. SD-14177 – Criteria for the columns in the Custom filters gets removed upon editing and saving the custom filter more than once. Say, we have a custom filter added with “AND” criteria, with two columns and say “Subject” and “Requester” and then edit the same and click save, we could see the criteria gets changed. And again edit the custom filter we could see that the criteria gets removed.
    11. SD-15392 – If a request template name contains an “&” in it , template name gets truncated.
    12. SD-14944 – Priority name displayed twice in the request list view, if the priority name exceeds 20 characters.
    13. SD-15391 – UDF field containing “id” as sub-string, is not getting saved in the request template.
    14. SD-20600,SD-15271- Improper error message while deleting / closing a request.
    15. SD-15509, SD-21077 – Upon closing the problem will make the solution content displays with html tags.
    16. SD-14531 – Change the status of the asset by clicking the asset state link will not get reflect in the list view, by using asset search (left side). After the change is applied, the list view page is not getting refreshed.
    17. SD-14397 – Requester allowed to view reverting back to “Show only their own requests”(default) in requester details when AD Import.
    18. SD-21139 – While creating new request through Quick Create / through new Request Form, and upon clicking the “Save” / “Add request” button, some times, duplicate request are getting created because of the user do not know whether the request is getting added or not. To avoid this, “Add Request” button under web-form and “Save” button under Quick Creation will be inactive when click on the button once, until the form submission is done completely.
    19. SD-21134,SD-14927- NullPointer Exception while performing workstation import through CSV, if we give user and department alone without site field.

    OpManager Professional – Atualização 8020 e 8021

    Após a atualização para a versão 8010 que é o service Pack 1 foi, foi identificado alguns problemas como o idioma Chines e o backup que estava muito lento e foi adicionado uma nova feature que foi o “Alarm Suppression”.

    Alarm Suppression - Suppress the alarms of a specific device for a pre-defined time interval. Exemplo: esta sendo  monitorado algum processo ou serviço e você precisa reiniciar o serviço por algum motivo e ao fazer isso vai gerar alarme, mas programando o alarm suppression os alarmes não aconteceram no período de tempo programado.

    OpManager v8 Service Pack I – Build No. 8020
    Enhancements & Issues fixed

    E como eu não tinha falado dessa atualização estou falando das duas ao mesmo tempo. E agora é a atualização 8021.

    E na atualização 8021 teve melhorias e aperfeiçoamento algumas coisas como a parte de ações dos alarmes, o e-mail notification foi adicionado o link no snapshot para facilitar o acesso, adicionar o Google maps na personalização do dashboard, etc. E a correção de algumas questões já conhecidas.

    OpManager v8 – Hotfix IV – Build No. 8021

  • Application Manager versão 9

    Application Manager versão 9

    Recentemente saiu a versão 9000 do APPM e como não podia faltar ele esta com Dashboard igual a do seu irmão mais velho! Você pode personalizar, mover as monitores, adicionar widgets, dividir em colunas, etc.

    E agora é possível instalar o Application Manager com o MS-SQL Server, muito dos clientes agradecem. Eles sempre questionavam isso, por que na maioria das vezes eles tinha equipes de DBAs e gostariam de deixar o banco com eles e agora vai ser possível.

    Foram adicionado um novo monitor:

    • Oracle E-Business Suite.

    Tiveram melhorias na parte do webclient e a aparência remodelada, eu achei muito bonito e show de bola. É a tendência de todas as soluções da ManageEngine (agora Zoho Corp) eles atualizarem a aparência, poder personalizar o Dashboard.

  • ServiceDesk Plus 7022 – Atualização

    Estamos com um cliente que esta na versão 7 build 7022 e ele quer atualizar para a versão atual que é 7.5 build 7508.

    Mas nessa versão 7022 parece que tem um bug que estamos tentando identificar, vamos tentar fazer o update primeiro para a versão 7.5 para depois ir para a ultima versão que é a 7508.

    Apos tentar fazer o upgrade foi gerado mensagem de erro, debugando mensagem….

  • OpManager atualização para build 8007

    Saiu recentemente uma atualização de build do OpManager, build 8007.
    E essa atualização corrigiu vários problemas, segue abaixo lista das correções:

    • Provision to add telnet/ssh port number for devices discovered/monitored though CLI is available now
    • Option to configure the consecutive times when the alarm should be generated is provided for URL monitors
    • License:
      Option to view the Real time graphs is provided for the premium license users
      SLA Dasboard not shown for business views is fixed
    • Packet Loss data not shown when opmanager is installed in Windows 2008/Vista is fixed
    • Device not moving to managed status when the downtime scheduler is completed is fixed

  • ServiceDesk Plus nova atualização para Build 7508

    ServiceDesk Plus versão 7.5 e build 7508.

    Na atualizacao da build 7507 parece que teve alguns erros criticos mas ja foram corrigidos. Segue abaixo o que foi corrigido:

    The new build 7508 addresses the following issues.

    1. SD-20692 : NullPointer Exception upon clicking the Request approval link and subsequently unable to approve the request.
    2. SD-20601 : Upon editing a request and changing the template, request fields value gets populated for all the fields, instead only for the empty fields.
    3. SD-20663 : NullPointer Exception  upon clicking the “select resources for this contract link” while creating a new contract or editing an existing contract in MSSQL.

  • Atualização ServiceDesk – Build 7507

    Essa semana saiu mais uma atualização para ServiceDesk e essa atualização adiciona uma nova feature, dois novos protocolos, corrigindo varios bugs, etc. Um dos principais era a de importação de usuarios do AD para o SDP, que entrava em loop e nao terminava nunca a importação ou nem fazia a importação.

    Segue abaixo todas mais informações sobre a atualização:

    Enhancements in 7507

    1. Task Template

    A new feature which enables technicians to handle repeated tasks easily.

    1. Multi Lingual Survey

    A new feature which enables user to answer the survey in any of the languages supported by SDP.

    1. Support for POPS IMAPS.
    2. List view page of solutions module has been enhanced.
    3. Site Inclusion in Request Template
      1. Providing an option to select the Site field in the Request Template. (In the existing version , site field is non-editable)
      2. Group field population will be based on the Site selection and Technician field population will be based on the Site and Group selection.
      3. When a requester/technician create a request using a request template, if the request template carries site name against the site field, it will avoid overwriting of the site field with the site name to which the requester belongs to.
      4. If a technician raise a request on behalf a requester using a request template and if site specified in the request template is different from his site, a message will be shown as &ldquoRequest added Successfully with RequestId:ReqId. But this request does not fall under your permitted scope. So you are not authorized to view this request&rdquo.
      5. A requester can also raise a request using a request template and Site specified in the request template which is different from his site.

    Issues fixed in this Service Pack

    1. SD-14885 – SDP crashes when scanning workstation.
    2. SD-14805 &ndash Active Directory import is taking too long to populate the OU if more number of OUs are present.
    3. SD-13788 &ndash Issue with AD Import for Windows 2008 server- upon selecting the domain, OU’s are enumerated correctly but not getting imported successfully
    4. SD-15144 &ndash Error converting a string into a date time value error, and because of which CPU raised to 100% in non-english locale mssql has been fixed.
    5. SD-14884 – NullPointer exception occurs while scanning machines in which oracle is installed.
    6. SD-14694 – Domains that are listed based on login name in login page should be case insensitive.
    7. SD-14843 – After migration to 7504,business rules stop processing because of the caching.
    8. SD-14867 – When a site is having “Refer” for operational hour/ holidays,copy or custom for other related settings and upon associating technician to a group under that site will save fine for the first time and editing the technician and saving subsequently will throw error.
    9. SD-14534 – Embedded images are broken when forwarding the closed request.
    10. SD-14881 – Reply for request from the actions menu did not set the group sender name.
    11. SD-14830 – Asset notification sent to wrong user.
    12. SD-14862, SD-14857 – While trying to update an already closed request,it shows the message ” FAILURE :Request(s) closure failed”.
    13. SD-14844 – Issue in displaying values in group field when creating new request in requester login when the requester belongs to a custom site &ndash FireFox Issue.
    14. SD-14882 – Removed HTML tag content in the request description and resolution while adding new request through email / webform and generating report.

    16. SD-14787 – Request closing rules fails when request additional fields contains capital letters.

        • SD-13971 – When importing users from LDAP the login name is added as requester name instead of the display name.
    1. SD-14907 – Vendor name is showing wrong in Swedish language under asset details.
    2. SD-14768 – Changing the Date filter value from “During” to “From To” option in default reports will have empty report when the report is sent through mail.
    3. SD-14539 – Issue with reports , showing duplicate entry for workstations while filtering by software type.
    4. SD-14911 – Previous/ Next operation over the generated reports throws error when requester/technician details are modified simultaneously.
    5. SD-14913 – When multiple reports are scheduled at same time, concurrent access exception is thrown and hence report creation fails.
    6. SD-14044 – In Reports, Survey Module, only Rating is present which is a non-numerical value due to which rating is not allowed in column summary.Hence adding a new field in reports, rating value which is a numerical value of rating.
    7. SD-14917 – Included a new link &ldquoRoad Map&rdquo in support tab.
    8. SD-14932 – Included a new link &ldquoKnown Issues&rdquo in support tab.

    SD-14918 – Included latest and current build information in support tab similar to what we have in ‘About’ link.

  • OpManager – Hotfix4

    Ontem pela manha saiu o hotfix4 para o OpManager Enterprise (versão 7 – Build 7104).

    A atualização para Windows é para ser aplicado somente na Central e ao atualizar a probe pode ficar com instabilidade, isso quer dizer que a atualização nao terminou. Por que nesse caso a central repassa a atualização para Probe e nesse periodo ela fica com o serviço parado e quando voce tentar subir manualmente ele cai, tem que esperar ate que a atualização termine.

    Segue abaixo as novas features uma das grandes novidades é a compatibilidade com Exchange 2007.

    Foi adicionado varias features novas com essa atualização:

    • Process Monitoring
    • Process Templates in probe webclient
    • FailOver Automation Script
    • Replace RMI with https in FailOver
    • Exchange 2007 support
    • Alarm when folder size is growing
    • Site name as a column in reports – (Disk usage, Inventory reports) is done
    • In BusinessView, maximum number of devices in one business view is configurable
    • Backup file path is made configurable
    • Central and Probe login image changed
    • Timeout for various operations (like ping, traceroute) increased
    • Windows Service Monitor addition from Central Admin page is enhanced
    • The Business View list in the dashboard is sorted
    • URL monitoring enhanced to support urls with authentication
    • Custom category delete option given

    E tambem corrigiu varios problemas:

    • In BusinessView dashboard, availability value for today and yesterday were shown as 0 – Fixed.

    A ManageEngine disse que nessa atualização ia corrigir o problema da Business Views que tem limite de 50 devices. Em contato com a Manage Engine eles enviaram um procedimento para corrigir esse problema.

    Link para Download da atualização para Windows e Linux. No caso do Linux tem as duas atualizações, uma para a probe e outra para a central. E logico que tem o OpManager ja com o hotfix4.

    Segue abaixo procedimento de atualização retirado do site da Manage Engine:

    Instructions to apply the Upgrade Pack/Service Pack

     

    1. Shut down the OpManager central server. (If OpManager is running as a service, stop the service from Control Panel > Services window)
    2. Take a backup by executing the command <opmanager-home>/bin/backup/BackupDB.bat
    3. Run the script ‘UpdateManager.bat (UpdateManager.sh for Linux) in the <opmanager-home>/bin folder. This opens the Update Manager tool.
    4. Click “Install” and then click “Browse” to select the Upgrade Pack file (the .ppm file that you’d downloaded).
    5. Follow the on-screen instructions to apply the Service/Upgrade Pack.
    6. Once the upgrade is complete, start the OpManager Central Server.
    7. The upgrades done on the Central Server will automatically be pushed to the probes.

     

    Important Note

    How can I find the Build number?

    1. In the Web Client click the “About” link on top right of the page.
    2. Search for the ‘Build Number’ among the product details listed.
    3. Check the following image guide to locate the build number.
