    Feature Enhancements:

    • The tools in the Device Snapshot page now includes SSH⁄ HTTPs options
    • Export of Switch Port Mapper Reports as PDF or Excel files. Option to send the report via email also included.
    • Ability to send SMS if the OpManager server loses network connectivity.

    Issues Fixed:

    • Intermittent device polling issue is fixed
    • Options to rediscover is disabled for read only users
    • Notification fixes includes the following
      • Notification not sent for Threshold violation for some MSSQL ⁄ Exchange ⁄ Domain Controllers monitors are resolved

    OpManager v8 – Hotfix V – Build No. 8022

    Feature Enhancements:

    • Notification Profile:
      • In addition to ‘Custom Fields for Devices’ and ‘Alarm Variables’, ‘Device Properties’ such as Device Type, Device State, RAM, Disk, IPAddress etc. can now be added to all the notification profiles
      • Option to add ‘Custom Fields for Devices’ and ‘Device Properties’ as arguments for Run System /Run Program command
    • Option to select the required Devices is provided in the MIB Browser
    • Provision to set the ‘List View’ as default map view
    • Option to view the current downtime details in the Outage History reports
    • Interface Real time graphs will be shown by default for all the users, irrespective of license applied
    • The Netflow dashboard can now be seen from the OpManager webclient if the Netflow plugin is installed

    Issues Fixed:

    • Issue of status not getting updated for some devices is fixed
    • Fixed the problem in accessing of the Map page for a Read Only User with access to certain business view

  • Application Manager atualizado – Versão 9 Build 9002

    Recentemente saiu um hotfix para o APPM 9, que corrigi algumas questões. Segue abaixo o que exatamente foi corrigido.

    Caso queria baixar a atualização, clique aqui. Ou se preferir baixe a versão completa que ja esta na ultima versão.

    Version 9 (9002 Build)

    • Issue in archiving data for the script monitors is fixed.
    • Issue in showing the number of evaluation days in Managed Server is fixed.

    Ontem saiu uma release sobre o problema em quem utiliza MS-SQL em portugues. Na build 7504 não era possivel fazer o upgrade por que esta gerando erro mas agora não mais. A build 7505 corrigi esse problema, segue abaixo a Release Notes.

  • Support Center atualizado – Versão 7.5 Build 7504

    Após ter mudado de versão da 7 para a versão 7.5 build 7503 foi detectado vários problemas na atualização. Mas por falta de tempo coloquei essa atualização e agora que consegui separar um tempo, esses problemas foram corrigidos no hotfix 7504. Eu não testei ainda, mas os indianos falaram que esse hotfix resolve os problemas da atualização.

    Foi fazer um post falando sobre o Support Center e suas NOVAS funcionalidades, que estão show de bola. E no ROADMAP tem coisa ainda pra sair….

    Sobre essa atualização segue abaixo o Release Notes tanto da atualização 7016 para a 7504.

    Desta vez fui para fazer a capacitação técnica de seis pessoas. E fazer um “pente fino” no ambiente.

    O ambiente tem varias particularidades, a principal foi em relação aos relatórios que não atende totalmente as necessidades atuais do cliente. Eles já possuem uma ferramenta de monitoração que tem esses relatórios e no OpManager Enterprise esse relatórios ainda não esta disponível mas já estão no ROAD MAP que alem desses relatórios vai trazer mudanças e melhorias na solução.

    Tivemos problema ao tentar adicionar o monitor do MS-SQL, esta retornando uma mensagem de erro. O sistema operacional é o Windows 2000, executamos o comando que foi sugerido mas mesmo assim não conseguimos.

    Passei as recomendações para o ManageEngine assim que tiver as respostas vou postar para o conhecimento de todos.

  • OpManager – Hotfix4

    Ontem pela manha saiu o hotfix4 para o OpManager Enterprise (versão 7 – Build 7104).

    A atualização para Windows é para ser aplicado somente na Central e ao atualizar a probe pode ficar com instabilidade, isso quer dizer que a atualização nao terminou. Por que nesse caso a central repassa a atualização para Probe e nesse periodo ela fica com o serviço parado e quando voce tentar subir manualmente ele cai, tem que esperar ate que a atualização termine.

    Segue abaixo as novas features uma das grandes novidades é a compatibilidade com Exchange 2007.

    Foi adicionado varias features novas com essa atualização:

    • Process Monitoring
    • Process Templates in probe webclient
    • FailOver Automation Script
    • Replace RMI with https in FailOver
    • Exchange 2007 support
    • Alarm when folder size is growing
    • Site name as a column in reports – (Disk usage, Inventory reports) is done
    • In BusinessView, maximum number of devices in one business view is configurable
    • Backup file path is made configurable
    • Central and Probe login image changed
    • Timeout for various operations (like ping, traceroute) increased
    • Windows Service Monitor addition from Central Admin page is enhanced
    • The Business View list in the dashboard is sorted
    • URL monitoring enhanced to support urls with authentication
    • Custom category delete option given

    E tambem corrigiu varios problemas:

    • In BusinessView dashboard, availability value for today and yesterday were shown as 0 – Fixed.
    • In Device templates – add monitor page throws Error – Fixed
    • Switch interface alerts need to be triggered with the display name of the interface – Done
    • Refresh Object in Probe gives message as Probe may be down or busy – Fixed
    • In VMware monitoring, rediscovery lead to discovering the monitors again and again – Fixed
    • When you click on the device in server top n graph in dashboard, it leads to error page. – Fixed
    • Clear alarm was not notified while the device misses 1/3/5 poll alarm alone was notified – Fixed
    • Alarm graph in dashboard showed wrong color and value – Fixed
    • In device snapshot, sometimes hundreds of interfaces were listed instead of showing the correct number of interfaces – Fixed
    • Map image missing for new device types added – Fixed
    • In Availability reports, the business view listing and sorting based on it is included in the header
    • Monitors for IBM AIX, HP UNIX and Windows 2008 added by default
    • Custom category related information was not getting transferred to the new probes created after custom category creation. That is fixed
    • While logging in as readonly user, the reports were not displayed properly. That is fixed
    • In read only user login, there was no provision to view all sites info. That is fixed
    • Unsolicited traps listing was missing in SnmpTrapProcessor configuration option in Probe webclient. That is fixed

    A ManageEngine disse que nessa atualização ia corrigir o problema da Business Views que tem limite de 50 devices. Em contato com a Manage Engine eles enviaram um procedimento para corrigir esse problema.

    Link para Download da atualização para Windows e Linux. No caso do Linux tem as duas atualizações, uma para a probe e outra para a central. E logico que tem o OpManager ja com o hotfix4.

    Segue abaixo procedimento de atualização retirado do site da Manage Engine:

    Instructions to apply the Upgrade Pack/Service Pack

     

    1. Shut down the OpManager central server. (If OpManager is running as a service, stop the service from Control Panel > Services window)
    2. Take a backup by executing the command <opmanager-home>/bin/backup/BackupDB.bat
    3. Run the script ‘UpdateManager.bat (UpdateManager.sh for Linux) in the <opmanager-home>/bin folder. This opens the Update Manager tool.
    4. Click “Install” and then click “Browse” to select the Upgrade Pack file (the .ppm file that you’d downloaded).
    5. Follow the on-screen instructions to apply the Service/Upgrade Pack.
    6. Once the upgrade is complete, start the OpManager Central Server.
    7. The upgrades done on the Central Server will automatically be pushed to the probes.

     

    Important Note

    How can I find the Build number?

    1. In the Web Client click the “About” link on top right of the page.
    2. Search for the ‘Build Number’ among the product details listed.
    3. Check the following image guide to locate the build number.
